This page is an alternative for my YouTube channel @SimTourist for those that prefer reading instead of watching a video. It also gives me the opportunity to append changes to the articles which is very difficult with YouTube video’s. So my name is Michael, aka Sim Tourist. I’m from Belgium (Europe) and I have been reviewing sim-racing hardware for 5 years now.
Whether you’re buying your first cockpit or upgrading to a direct drive wheelbase, Sim Tourist exists to help you make an informed decision. Unlike a lot of reviewers, I don’t necessarily recommend the most expensive because it is the best. I understand that the “best” varies from person to person and that not everyone has a few thousands of Simolians to spend on a hobby.
I do receive some hardware to test from time to time and want to thank especially Trak Racer and Cammus, but also Next Level Racing, MOZA and Sim-Lab for helping to make these reviews less expensive. Why Sim Tourist?
I chose the name Sim Tourist to indicate what I find important in my simulated driving sessions. I believe there are 2 sorts of simdrivers. Those that see it as a competition, and those that see it as a means of relaxation. I fall in the second category. A chill drive where I can shift and feel the engine rumble under my bum is one of the most relaxing things I can imagine at this moment.
